Sri Lanka defeated India in an Asia Cup Super-4 match

Sri Lanka defeated India in an Asia Cup Super-4 match to qualify for the final. Now, India is out of the Asia Cup 2022. Dilshan Madushanka stunned India with the bowl to restrict India to under 180. He got three wickets and gave only 24 runs.

Lankan openers gave a blistering start. Bhanuka Rajapaksa and skipper Dasun Shanaka hold their nerves in a tense chase. They chase the target of 174 runs for the loss of 6 wickets with one ball to spare.

The skipper Dasun Shanaka got man of the match for his beautiful innings of 33 runs in just 18 balls at the end of the chase. He also took 2 wickets.

India’s start was pathetic as Lankan bowlers got two early wickets. KL Rahul failed again and got out just for 06 runs in 07 balls. This time, Virat Kohli failed to score any runs and went for a duck after playing 04 balls.

However, the skipper Rohit Sharma hold one end and played a captain knock. He made a crucial partnership of 97 runs with Suryakumar Yadav who made 34 runs in 39 balls.

Sharma played a beautiful inning of 72 runs in just 41 balls with the help of 5 fours and 4 sixes.

Rohit Sharma was the only batter who shifted momentum toward India but the Indian middle order failed again in the match. Hardik Pandya 17 (13), Rishabh Pant 17 (13), and Deepak Hooda 03(04). Ravichandran Ashwin remained not out with 15 runs in just 07 balls.

Dilshan Madushanka was the pick of the bowler who got three wickets and gave only 24 runs in his four overs. Chamika Karunaratne got two wickets for 27 runs. Dasun Shanaka also got two wickets but gave 26 runs in just two overs.
