Pakistan Batting
Earlier, in an Asia Cup encounter that was virtually a knockout, Pakistan overcame the early loss of Babar Azam to record a total of 193/2 against Hong Kong.
Ehsan Khan stunned the Pakistani captain in the third over, giving Pakistan’s innings the worst conceivable start. However, Pakistan had a solid foundation to advance their innings thanks to Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman’s 116-run partnership.
Rizwan continued to stay unbeaten at 78 after Zaman was dismissed by Ehsan at 53. Khushdil Shah led Pakistan to 193 runs with an undefeated cameo of 35 off 15 balls.
From the bowling side, Ehsan Khan was the star bowler who picked up 2 wickets for 28 runs in his 4 overs.
Hong Kong Batting
The skill of Pakistan’s bowlers then proved to be too much for Hong Kong, as none of its batters reached double digits. Naseem Shah and Shahnawaz Dahani set the tone with their fast-paced deliveries.
Shah got two wickets in his second over and Dahani also got one wicket in his second over. After powerplay, it’s all about spin bowling.
Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz combined got seven wickets in just 4.4 overs to secure Pakistan’s largest T20I victory. This was also Hong Kong’s lowest total.
