Pakistan defeated India by five wickets in a thrilling Asia Cup Super-4 match. Mohammad Nawaz got man of the match for his blistering innings of 42 runs in just 20 balls. He also took three catches and got one wicket for just 25 runs in 4 overs.
In Pakistan’s Super 4 encounter against India, Mohammad Nawaz stunned India with the bat after helping in restricting opponents with the ball following a blistering start.
Mohammad Nawaz’s Exceptional Performance
Pakistan had a left-handed specialist in the middle order, but they promoted Nawaz after Fakhar got out. They may have felt the need for a low-cost hitter to keep the asking rate in check because it was so high. Nawaz has also had success with big shots; he did it in both the PSL and domestic cricket.
Nawaz might have been in good hitting form in the nets if he hadn’t come out and began batting average, removing Rizwan of some of the load. The next six overs scored were 9, 10, 10, 11,12, and 16.
Mohammad Nawaz played a blistering inning of 42 runs in just 20 balls. He also took three catches on the field. He bowled a beautiful spell and got one wicket for just 25 runs in 4 overs.
Toss
Early on Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first. Hasnain comes in for Dahani.
For India, Hardik comes back. Deepak Hooda and Ravi Bishnoi are also in. Karthik misses out, apart from Jadeja and Avesh.
Teams
Pakistan: Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Babar Azam (capt), Fakhar Zaman, Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, Shadab Khan, Asif Ali, Mohammad Nawaz, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Hasnain, Naseem Shah

India Batting
India batted extremely aggressively in the first half of their innings, aware of the historical advantage for chasing teams in Dubai.
However, they kept losing wickets, forcing Virat Kohli, who made significant progress toward his best with a 44-ball 60, to play a little more cautiously in the second. Despite the strong start, Pakistan only gave up 88 runs in the final 10 overs.
Indian middle order failed in the match. Suryakumar Yadav 13 (10), Rishabh Pant 14 (12), and Hardik Pandya’s two-ball duck put India at least 20 runs short.
Pakistan Batting
Pakistan got a shaky start when Babar Azam 14 (10) was removed by Ravi Bishnoi in the fourth over. Fakhar Zaman also failed to make an impression as Yuzvendra Chahal dismissed him with a score of 15 (18).
After that, Rizwan and Mohammad Nawaz formed a key partnership and scored 73 runs together for the third wicket. Rizwan 71 (51) and Nawaz 42 (20) were both bowled quickly one after the other by Hardik Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, respectively.
Bhuvneshwar let the contest slip away from India as Pakistan needed 26 runs off the final two overs and he gave up 19 runs in the penultimate over.
The final over was also interesting as Arshdeep got the wicket of Asif Ali. Finally, Iftikhar played the winning shot and Pakistan won by 5 wickets with one ball to spare.
