Report about Pakistan tour of Netherlands, 1st ODI, Rotterdam, August 16, 2022. Pakistan beat the Netherlands in the 1st ODI by 16 runs. Fakhar Zaman was the star of the show with 109 runs.

Toss

Early on Pakistan won the toss and bat first. Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman to open the batting for Pakistan. That was a slow start and Imam was the 1st man to out just for 2 runs which took 19 balls.

Babar and Fakhar stable the inning and made a big partnership. On behalf of Fakhar 109, Babar 74, and Shadab’s late bursts of 48* run of just 28 balls, Pakistan posted a competitive total of 314/6 in 50 overs. Bas de Leede was the pick of the bowler from the Netherlands who got 2 wickets for 42 runs in  10 overs.

In the chase of 315 runs, the Netherlands also lost early wickets. Although Netherlands batsmen showed a great fight in the chase but just fell short of 16 runs. opener Vikramjit Singh (65), Tom Cooper (65), and captain Scott Edwards (c)† (71*) were the leading run scorers from the Netherlands.

From Pakistan bowling departments, Haris Rauf and debutant Naseem Shah are the pick of the bowlers who got three wickets each.
