The West Indies batsmen missed an opportunity to find their groove on Australian pitches before their tour game against a NSW/ACT XI was declared a draw.
The visitors were 114 for 4 in their second innings at Manuka Oval on Saturday when play was suspended, after the hosts had declared on 426 for 4 at the start of the day.
Jermaine Blackwood, who retired on 42 in the first innings, managed just 1.
West Indies were 77 for 4 before Ruston Chase (31*) and Joshua Da Silva (12*) ensured no further loss.
The tourists will play a four-day twilight match against a strong Prime Minister XI from Wednesday before the Tests in Perth and Adelaide.
