Toss Australia Chose to bowl vs South Africa

Australia captain Meg Lanning won the toss and elected to bowl against South Africa at Gakibarha.
According to CA, Australia’s star wicketkeeper-batsman Alyssa Healy was ruled out of the game “with some awareness of her left quad following a heavy workload on her return from a significant calf injury”. Beth Mooney will keep the wicket while pacer Annabelle Sutherland is included in the playing XI.

Australia have won three games in a row against New Zealand, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to top Group 1. A win here will ensure the defending champions a place in the semi-finals. Meanwhile, South Africa defeated New Zealand and lost to Sri Lanka to occupy the third position in the table. Defeat will kill their semi-final chances.

This is the first time South Africa are playing a white-ball international in Gqeberha, which means it is their first Marizan Cup outing on their home ground.
