India defeated Australia in the 3rd T20I and win the series by 2-1. The team blue won by 6 wickets with one ball to spare.
Suryakumar Yadav got the player of the match award for his brilliant innings of 69 runs in just 36 balls.
Axar Patel got the player of the series award for his 8 wickets.
Half-centuries from Cameron Green and Tim David went in vain as India chased down 187 and clinched the series.
Toss
Early on India won the toss and opted to bowl first.
One change for India, Bhuvneshwar Kumar is back in for Rishabh Pant. Australia also made one change – Josh Inglis in for Sean Abbott.
Teams
India XI: Rohit Sharma (capt), KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Axar Patel, Harshal Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Australia XI: Aaron Finch (capt), Cameron Green, Steven Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Tim David, Matthew Wade (wk), Pat Cummins, Daniel Sams, Josh Inglis, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood
Overview
Green started playing on the powerplay onto his bat, slogging his way to a 19-ball fifty in the fifth over. Green frequently backed away with his outside leg and lustily swung at the ball.
For Australia in T20Is, only David Warner and Glenn Maxwell have struck faster fifty. Tim David also made a quick fifty.
Indian bowlers did a great job restricting Australia to 186/7 after flying start from Green.
In reply, Indian openers got out cheaply but the fifties from Kohli and Souryakumar Yadav help to chase down the target.
