India’s 15-men squad for the next ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 was revealed to the public. After being injured, Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel returned to the team. Both were not part of the Asia Cup 2022 campaign.
The biggest exclusion is Mohammad Shami who is not part of the main team but travels as a reserve. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja also missed out, who sustained an injury during the Asia Cup.
Spin Attack
Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Axar Patel are the three specialist spinners.
Deepak Hooda is a Right arm Offbreak and will provide some assistance to the spin department if needed. Ravi Bishnoi is a spin reserve.
Batting Department
Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, and Dinesh Karthik comprise the expected batting order.
Hardik Pandya and Deepak Hooda will provide some support to the batting with their big-hitting ability.
Shreyas Iyer is backup if someone faces injury from the batting department.
Pace Attack
Jasprit Bumrah, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are the four pacers in the squad, along with the all-rounder Hardik Pandya.
Mohammad Shami is a backup for the pace department.

India will host Australia and South Africa
India will host Australia for a three-match T20I series before hosting South Africa for a T20I and ODI series in preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
India selected their teams for both of the T20I series.
While resting Arshdeep, India has selected Shami and Chahar for both series. For the T20Is against South Africa, Hardik Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have been rested.
