Crowley has never played in the BBL but showed glimpses of his skills in Australian conditions during a tough Ashes tour last summer. Hurricanes chief Ricky Ponting impressed with his 77 in the Sydney Test which helped England save the game. Crowley also has a relationship with Hurricanes assistant coach Darren Barry, who he worked with at London Spirit in the Hundred.
Crawley has a strong domestic T20 record with an average of 29.86 and an average of 145.08. He also has a T20 century but has never played T20 cricket or T20I outside England.
Crowley said, “I am very excited to participate in the Big Bash for the first time. “From afar, the Hurricanes look primed for success on the field with the roster they’ve built, as well as the quality roster of support material they have.
