Change of Venue
The Asian Cricket Council relocated the ASIA CUP 2022 to the United Arab Emirates due to the current circumstances in Sri Lanka. However, Sri Lanka still holds exclusive hosting rights.
Teams that compete in Asia Cup Championship 2022
On August 27 in the UAE, the men’s Asia Cup 2022 is scheduled to start. India, the most recent champion of the competition, is aiming to take home the trophy once more. In the final of the most recent Asia Cup, which was held in 2018, India triumphed against Bangladesh.
However, Pakistan’s Babar Azam team appears confident in their ability to claim the 2022 Asia Cup title. Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan are also confident to claim the title. The super event featured a total of six teams, as is known. Pakistan, India, and Hong Kong teams are in group B, While Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan teams are in group A.

Asia Cup Qualifier
Hong Kong has qualified for the Asia Cup 2022 and will join India and Pakistan in Group A. They beat the UAE in the final qualifier by eight wickets.
Hong Kong joined Group-A alongside Pakistan and India. They have won all three matches in qualifiers and topped the table.
